Sweet Shot
I still can't believe I managed to take this picture.
The colonies may be collapsing, but happy bees are still out there. With all the news reporting bee disaster in the last few months, I've been thinking about honey quite a bit. I spread it on baked goods, use it salad dressings, and make myself gooey peanut-butter-banana-honey sandwiches, but I haven't really explored this ingredient. That leads me to my question for you: What is your favorite honey-centric recipe?
Thanks for sharing your best ideas.

Baklava with honey - Susan has hit the nail on the head. My brother likes honey and vegemite (a thick, black, salty breakfast spread)on his morniing toast. It's an acquired taste to say the least!
I find honey a bit too cloying for my liking, but it's good in small droplets in a Moroccanised grated carrot salad.
Lucy: Carrots ARE great combined with honey--I roast carrots with rosemary and just a smidgin' of honey, and that is some great stuff, just not warm-weather food. So, I'll have to try your grated carrot salad idea.
Christa: Yes, tea with honey. So simple. So good.
I also love to make baklava, or honey cakes!
