Summer Rundown 1: Fish Pepper

You're just the right amount of hot,
just the right amount of sweet,
and
you
are
beautiful:
variegated foliage,
stripity-stripety fruit,
a childhood daydream chili.

Slow to grow,
but your growing
made me
happy.

In the heat
you taught me
the joys of
heat:
the good burn that makes
cool coleslaw cooler,
sexy salsas sexier,
sweaty stirfries sweatier.

That's wonderful! And the pictures are a perfect juxtaposition - my mouth is watering just looking at them!

Muppet: Thank you!

The Allotment Blogger: Thanks! I think you'd like this pepper--it sure is a winner.

AOF: Thank you. They taste pretty darned good too. This variety is an African American heirloom, found most frequently in the Chesapeake Bay area. It is fun to grow because of its history, beauty, and fabulous flavor.
