I'm sorry you had an interaction like that with those dogs, and I'm even sorrier the owner was such a jerk!Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12607821498331135305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30498647.post-47707806942559476862013-01-14T16:39:24.387-08:002013-01-14T16:39:24.387-08:00"I am scared by a horse every day. I too had a crazy mare from childhood and for 10 years. You'll find a photo of her in the "past" folder of my FB account. Never did get past the horse fear. I seemed to be alone among my peers during those years in that they rhode with confidence and fell with grace. Not me. Splat

But on the ground - that's a different story. I was attacked by two pit bulls while taking a walk up ave 64. The owner hadn't shut the front door properly and i came in on there territory - it was a full charge. My screaming is what saved me. Kept my cool then dropped my voice down deep into my lungs and lunged at the lead, eyes locked in combat - till that stupid owner came out and called his stupid dogs off of me. "Sorry" thats all i got from him.

Later, as i continued my walk, the adrenaline set in. Ended up passing some dogs on leashes. They smelled it because they reacted towards me in an aggressive way. Something like that can stick with you.Pasadena Adjacenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09031325790590238246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30498647.post-78599625033433189552012-12-28T19:16:12.004-08:002012-12-28T19:16:12.004-08:00Rubyru-rubyru: Thank you.

I know those are going to happen somewhere along the way with this dog.Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12607821498331135305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30498647.post-70689697187367875122012-12-26T21:23:18.550-08:002012-12-26T21:23:18.550-08:00What a brilliant thing for Terri? Because I had no idea; both these women are so capable and fearless.

As to your other point, 90 percent of the unleashed dogs never come when their owners call. It's a train wreck when you're walking or hiking with your own dog, and I have the scars to prove it.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30498647.post-48683176882588746452012-12-25T14:33:34.362-08:002012-12-25T14:33:34.362-08:00Thank you for sharing, I need to remind myself of ...Thank you for sharing, I need to remind myself of this too, I have an overly friendly dog that will approach any dog, friendly or not, we have had a couple of scary moments.
